Dr. Ian Cawich is originally from Belize and came to the United States to attend Harding University in Searcy. He graduated from Harding in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He then attended graduate school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, earning his master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Cawich stayed at UAMS to attend medical school. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine there, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, which he successfully completed in June 2009. He is now working with Arkansas Heart Hospital Clinic and Arkansas Heart Hospital. He also is an associate professor in the Divison of Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
