Christopher K. Zarins, MD is the Walter Clifford and Elsa Rooney Chidester Professor of Surgery, Emeritus at Stanford University School of Medicine and former Chief of Vascular Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. He has served as President of the Society for Vascular Surgery, President of the International Society for Endovascular Specialists and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Surgical Research. His scientific research on the hemodynamics, pathobiology and treatment of cardiovascular diseases was supported by peer-reviewed grants from the NIH, NSF, AHA and others for more than 35 years. Currently, he is Senior Advisor for Clinical Science at HeartFlow, Inc, a company he co-founded more than a decade ago. HeartFlow provides a non-invasive, patient-specific assessment of coronary artery blood flow using computational fluid dynamics applied to coronary CT scan data. to be completed
